Election Year Dystopian Fiction Series: Does Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451” speak to 2024?

March 10 @ 2:00 pm 3:30 pm CDT

Does Ray Bradbury’s 1953 dystopian novel, “Fahrenheit 451”, speak to us in 2024? What is it that has led parents to challenge its presence in school libraries or curricula?

We will begin with a short précis of the book. Ken Novak will chair the discussion.

This is the fifth in a series of dystopian fiction discussion for this Presidential election year, on the Second Sunday afternoon at 2 pm Central.

Tentative Schedule:

April 14: “The Testaments” by Margaret Atwood
